Nursing: The Power to Make a Difference Campaign

In 2000, the North Carolina Center for Nursing created a statewide multiple strategy recruitment campaign to promote awareness of the rewards and benefits offered by today's nursing careers. A primary focus of the campaign is to improve nursing career awareness among North Carolina youth, minorities and those considering a second career. Demand for nurses is at an all-time high and continues to grow. We need intelligent, dedicated individuals who have an interest in making a difference in peoples lives.

The campaign includes a video, brochures, posters, pencils, a nursing exploration patch and a nursing career exploration website. This comprehensive website provides information about the nursing profession including the various roles in which nurses work; the various levels of nursing education; ways to finance a nursing education; and much more.
